Volunteers Week – Introducing Charlie Randell, AccessAble Champion

During Volunteers Week we want to highlight the work of our fantastic Volunteer team of ‘Champions’. Each day this week we will feature some of our Champions as well as giving you information on how to join our team of UK ambassadors.

First up, let us introduce you to our new AccessAble Champion for Kent Charlie Randell. Charlie is a disabled fitness and lifestyle vlogger from Kent.

Charlie Says: ‘I have grown up surrounded by supportive people who will never let my disability hold me back. After being a GB para-swimmer for 6 years, I found a passion for fitness and weight training.

I decided to share this with the world to show that being in a wheelchair shouldn’t stop you doing what you love. My YouTube channel has since expanded to Instagram and a blog promoting, not just disabled fitness, but also an adventurous lifestyle. That’s where my love for AccessAble comes in - making my adventures easier and more enjoyable!’

The Champion role is a voluntary position, which gives access to occasional paid opportunities to create content for AccessAble. Charlie is one of our 20 strong volunteer team who spread the word about AcccessAble and the vital work we do.

Champions share regular blogs and vlogs about using AccessAble to find accessible places to go, as well as attending our events and speaking to the media about AccessAble’s work in their region.

If you’re interested in becoming a champion, please contact us at [email protected], or call 01438 842710.
