Getting Around Duxford

Outside Access (Booking Office)

  • Ramp/Slope View

Counter (Booking)

Flight Experiences

  • Classic Wings offer a number of flights in different aircrafts including a Dragon Rapide, Tiger Moth and Harvard.
  • Please contact Classic Wing prior to booking to discuss access issues and medical requirements for flying in the aircraft.
  • There is a waiting area either side of the booking office, prior to boarding.
  • The surface of the flooring in the waiting area is concrete tiles and grass.
  • There is either bench seating or chairs with armrests.
  • There is stepped access onto all aircrafts.
  • For visitors with mobility issues, it is recommended to fly on the Dragon Rapide.
  • The Dragon Rapide has a capacity of 8 people.
  • Access into the plane is via portable steps and a step on the wing into the plane.
  • The 3 portable steps into the plane don't have handrails.
  • There is a slight slope on the wing.
  • The door into plane open towards you and has an opening width of 66cm.
  • There is a step into the doorway which must be stepped over to access the plane.
  • The seating area on the aircraft is on a slope when boarding.
  • The seats have armrests on both sides.
  • The Tiger Moth and Harvard do not have space for a carer.

Accessible and Standard Toilets

  • There are no accessible or standard toilets available within this area.
  • The nearest accessible and standard toilets are located in the grounds between Hangars 3 and 4 or between Hangars 4 and 5.
  • There are also accessible toilets and standard toilets in Hangars 1, 7 and 8.
