About Wentworth Castle Gardens - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located in the South Yorkshire countryside, Wentworth Castle Gardens features a Visitor Centre, café, second-hand bookshop, formal gardens, conservatory, and parkland with playground.

There is car parking at the estate, with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders near to the Visitor Centre.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the café and the conservatory.

The Long Barn Café and bookshop have step-free level access into and throughout. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

A number of routes around the property have steep ramps/slopes and uneven surfaces with compact earth, loose chippings, and paving/tiles. As such, an adapted shuttle is available to take visitors around the site, and powered mobility vehicles can be borrowed from the Visitor Centre. Sensory packs are also available. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
